Marvelmind Dashboard Beacon Colors and Icons

What every beacon color and icon on the Dashboard map and bottom panel means

This page is the reference for every beacon color and icon shown in the Marvelmind Dashboard - on the map, in the beacon list, and on the device buttons of the bottom panel. The background here is the same gray dotted grid the Dashboard uses for the map, because the same color is perceived differently on a white page than on the real software. Use this page to read your system at a glance.

How to read a beacon icon

34
example icon
Every beacon on the map is drawn as two concentric parts plus the device address.
Inner core - the beacon type and tracking state: blue for a mobile beacon (hedgehog), green for a stationary beacon. Problem states recolor the icon (red, orange).
Outer ring - the color of the beacon's ultrasonic frequency. The ring appears in the architecture where the beacon transmits ultrasound: a mobile beacon in NIA, a stationary beacon in IA. When the beacon only receives ultrasound, the icon is a single solid color with no separate ring.
The coordinates (X, Y, Z, in meters) are printed under the icon.

Mobile beacon (hedgehog) - icon on the map

A mobile beacon has a blue core.

73
X=-0.674 Y=0.072 Z=0.968
Normal tracking in IA Solid blue #0000FF - no ring (the mobile beacon receives ultrasound in IA)
73
X=-0.674 Y=0.072 Z=0.968
Normal tracking in NIA Blue core, ringed by the ultrasonic frequency color (see the frequency table below)
73
X=-0.674 Y=0.072 Z=0.968
Outside the geofencing zone Solid red #FF0000
73
X=-0.674 Y=0.072 Z=0.968
Tracking with low signal quality Orange #DC5801 ring around the blue core
73
X=-0.674 Y=0.072 Z=0.968
Tracking in M2 mode (submaps merging) Dark orange #FF4000
X=-0.674 Y=0.072 Z=0.968
Unstable ultrasonic tracking Blinking orange #DC5801
X=-0.674 Y=0.072 Z=0.968
Unstable radio connection The icon blinks between its normal color and transparent

Stationary beacon - icon on the map

A stationary beacon (anchor) has a green core.

31
X=0.908 Y=-0.703 Z=2.000
Normal in NIA Solid green #008000 - no ring (the stationary beacon receives ultrasound in NIA)
31
X=0.908 Y=-0.703 Z=2.000
Normal in IA Green core, ringed by the ultrasonic frequency color (see the frequency table below)
31
X=0.908 Y=-0.703 Z=2.000
Sleeping Transparent - only the frequency-color outline remains
X=0.908 Y=-0.703 Z=2.000
Unstable radio connection The icon blinks between its normal color and transparent

Device button on the bottom panel

Each device in the network has a button on the bottom panel of the Dashboard. Its color shows the device type and state; the checkbox on the left toggles the device on the map.
