Designed for indoor and outdoor, and industrial applications
RX-only beacon – can receive the ultrasonic signal but can’t transmit it
Very solid compound-sealed IP67 level protection
Special IP67 membrane protecting the ultrasound microphone
External antenna with reverse SMA connector for extended radio range
Industrial-RX supports a license-free 915MHz ISM band (US) and a license-free SRD band 868MHz (EU). The 433MHz HW variant can be ordered starting from a 100pcs in single order
Two IP67 external connectors:
Power:
+5V power supply (older hardware required +12V)
Reset pin (different from early batch Industrial-TX and Industrial-RX – check with us, if you bought in Sep.2019 or earlier)
DFU pin (different from early batch Industrial-TX and Industrial-RX – check with us, if you bought in Sep.2019 or earlier)
GND
Interfaces :
RS485
UART 3.3V
USB (TX+RX)
GND
Corresponding IP67 connectors (male part) included
No battery inside by default – external power bank or external power supply (+5V (earlier – +12V))
Extended working temperature range: -40C…+50C (not tested, provided by design): Tracking in -20C
Embedded reset switch and DFU switch – magnetic control
Supports a wide range of ultrasonic frequencies: 19/22/25/28/31/24/37/45 kHz
Regularly, it is designed to work together with the Industrial Super-Beacons. But it can also work along with Super-Beacons and other Marvelmind beacons and modems in 915MHz band
Ultrasonic range – up to 30m
Radio range to modem – up to a few hundred meters in open space with full-size antennas

Industrial Super-Beacons, Industrial-RX and Industrial-TX can be powered only from an external source. Nominal voltage – +12V. But it can work from 6V to 17V.

Many thanks for your answer.
I have another question : where can I get SMA connector to connect power and USB signal ? I am trying to find it on the internet but my research are not succesful for now. Do you know a specific reference ?
Thanks
It always depends on severity, frequency of vibration, etc.
In general, if you want to install a beacon on something noisy – drone, drilling machine or something like, then it must be an ultrasonic-transmitting beacon, for example, Industrial-TX. Because if you plan to install Industrial-RX in such conditions, the noise from the machine may severely limit the range.
Excavator is not so noisy in ultrasound, after all. The most problematic could be devices with a wideband white noise: airguns, compressors, ventilation, etc. They produce not only audible but also ultrasonic noise. Regular machines, like excavators, are relatively quiet in ultrasound. But, of course, everything must be tested in practice in the small scale before a larger scale deployment, because there more exceptions than rules.
In general, yes, Industrial beacons are design for the environment of construction sites and similar and shall be able to withstand usual conditions on site.
The only thing you would need to take care – a long-term exposure to water, dust, sun, ice. That may kill anything eventually. So, all kind of shadows, umbrellas, etc. is a recommended option – usual stuff for any outdoor equipment like cameras or speakers, etc.

Is it possible to have a step file of this beacon? Thank you
We will prepare in coming days and share the exterior STEP file
Hi, any chance to get a STP file? Thanks,
marvelmind.com/pics/_Beacon_Industrial_RX_external_only.STEP – for Industrial-RX

We are happy to answer questions in FAQ forum
What is the dimension and weight?
108x90x30 without antenna, but with connectors. Weight: ~200g.
Hi. Will the units survive on a construction machine, e.g. excavator or pile rig, in an environment with a lot of chock and vibration?
