Controlling a robot with a coordinate inputed by python.

Post by jaijoe90 »

Hello,

I would like to know if it is possible to control a device(RC car) which is connected with the hedgehog by inputting a coordinate or giving it a path without using the dashboard?

I have seen it being implemented using a dashboard for an example in this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrn0N97A-8g

Is there any example that I can look into or is it already discussed somewhere?

Thank you :D

Hello,

You can find protocol of sending waypoints to a robot here (see section 8.1):
https://marvelmind.com/pics/modem_usb_protocol.pdf
Each data packet of this format spicifies one waypoint, so you should send a sequence of this format to the modem.

Also you can find protocol of sending waypoints data from mobile beacon to robot (section 2.3.1):
https://marvelmind.com/pics/marvelmind_ ... rfaces.pdf

Currently we don't have an example for sending waypoints, but we have an example for receiving waypoints on robot side (for Arduino):
