Find distance

If the fixed beacon moves, does the accuracy of the distance measurement between the fixed beacon and the mobile beacon decrease a lot?
I want to find the distance between two beacons by giving a fixed beacon to a person and installing a mobile beacon on the robot.
And is it possible to pass this distance information to Arduino by making uart communication right from the mobile beacon?
And is it necessary to install a modem when doing this?

Well, if the stationary beacon moves, than the whole map moves... You can have a stationary beacon installed on a vehicle. Then, the map would be moving with the vehicle. Thus, we can't talk about "accuracy". It is simply "what the location is measured against of" question. And resulting answer.

Yes, it is possible to do what you are describing. It is a basic 1D system. We support it.

Modem must always be present in the system, because the modem is the main controller of the system. Beacons don't talk to each other. They rely on the modem.
