Tracking Multiple Beacons unstable

Postby nortobor » Tue May 21, 2019 1:18 pm

Hi,

Basically I've got a mini-TX and a HW4.9 both working as mobile beacons. Tracking works well if the HW4.9 beacon is removed from the network leaving only the mini-TX. Having them both on the network results in lots of lost packets (transparent blue outline in dashboard) Any idea what I could look at to solve this?

If it matters, RSSI is -80 for the HW4.9 and -20 for the mini-tx.

Hope I get this resolved since I plan on tracking 3 beacons.

Hello

Such low RSSI may mean the beacon works not on its own radio band.
Mini-Tx is working on 915 MHz, and the HW4.9 beacon is also adjusted for 915 MHz, but own frequency of this item may be 433 MHz.
Please check the sticker on the bottom of the beacon. Radio band (433 MHz or 915 MHz) is printed on the second line.
If the band on the sticker is 915 MHz, please check the antenna connection.

BTW, we just published a demo with 10 mobile beacons nearly at the same point and simultaneous tracking. Take a look:
