Hello,
Now the wiring connections seems to be correct.
On the previous dashboard screenshot I see you have set baudrate 115200 for stationary beacon 4.
But you need set this speed for mobile beacon 2, where the Arduino is connected.
If this will not help, try switch beacon 2 to stationary (disable 'hedgehog mode') and one of stationary beacons to mobile (enable hedgehog mode).
And connect new mobile beacon to Arduino instead N2.
On the beacon N2 UART output could be damaged by connection to ground in previous experiments.

Hello,

It seems this problem is related to Arduino programmer, not to the Marvelmind software.
Please try to read this 7-years discussion of the trouble:
https://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=135451.0
As I understand, most popular solutions are:
1. Check if the Arduino serial port selection is correct
2. Try to use more short USB cable
3. Try connect to another USB port on PC.

Hello!
As in the topic, I want to receive the x, y of hedge coordinates on the arduino serial port. My problem is that after analogously as in previous posts, I configured the dashboard, connected the hedge with arduino and uploaded the program made available by HEMANT, and so on the serial port it gets x, y, z = 0. I can not find a reason why it does not work and that's why I turn to you.
In the attached link I have shared a folder in which there are screenshots of the settings and connections.

Hi, where in the code would it best to be use serial.print to check for the bytes of data getting delivered from the hedgehog? Unfortunately the code seems to be a difficult for me to comprehend and I was wondering how nolanmac check the data packets being sent?

Hi I printed out the hedgehog_serial.buf in my main loop but all the values are 0, am I using it incorrectly or is actually just that there is no data being uploaded? If there is no data being uploaded what should I check for the cause?

Hello jyS2019,
According to your screenshot from dashboard, the map is not successfully built.
So mobile beacon is not tracking and it doesn't send its location in this case.
Please achieve tracking in dashboard - build and freeze the map and ensure the mobile beacon is updating its position.
Then you can try to receive location data from UART.

Hi, I am trying to obtain coordinates from my mobile beacon via Arduino.
I've checked the baudrate, the serial monitor and beacon UART speed are matching, but I still have strange symbols in my serial number.
I attach a screen of my map, so you can see if it is set correctly and a screen of my program error.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Hello,

You see strange symbols in serial monitor because incoming data are in binary format.
Serial monitor waits for ASCII symbols as I remember.
For test, you can try to switch 'Protocol for UART/USB output' to 'NMEA0183' state in dashboard, in this mode mobile beacon will send ASCII strings.
But the software for parsing data requires 'Marvelmind' protocol, so you should return from 'NMEA' back to 'Marvelmind'.
Also, as I see on the screenshot, the Arduino software waits to parse for obsolete 'low resolution' data packet.
If you want to use this mode of data, you should disable 'High resolution mode' in modem settings in dashboard.
For receiving high resolution mode data you can use more new Arduino example:
