Is it possible to build submaps without Dashboard?

Postby yanglx » Wed Aug 15, 2018 7:58 am

Hello,
Is it possible to build submaps without Dashboard?
I just found some info about submap configuration in Protocol of data exchange with modem via USB interface, but it only includes part of information about submap(some bytes are not explained). Is there a complete protocol?
Or would you please tell me the format of instruction when pessing the button "load map" in Dashboard?
Thanks!

Hello,
We don't share complete protocol for read/write submaps settings.
Building submaps is pretty complex procedure and we recommend using dashboard for this.
You may need check correct distances measurement, place relative location of individual submaps etc.
If you are sure that the submap always builds well, you can just wake beacons, wait for about 5...10 seconds and freeze the submap by setting freeze flag defined in the protocol, without dashboard.

The button 'Load map' restores map configuration previously saved to file with 'Save map' button. This includes waking the beacons which were used on the saved map, locating them to saved positions, restoring submaps configuration, writing all saved settings to modem and beacons. So the system should return to the state on moment of 'Save map' execution. Of course, the stationary beacons must be really placed on same locations as on 'Save map' moment, otherwise the tracking of mobile beacons will be not correct.
