Re: Firmware and Params for autonomous flight (Link to firmware added)

Hi All, The way we work with it is as follows: In mission planner Load firmware in PIxhawk Set EK3_enable to 1, set EK2_enable to 0 Reboot (it will load the default EK3 params) Load parameters from file Reboot! Callibrate Accels Reboot! In Marvelmind: Ensure north pointing is north pointing of map a...

Firmware and Params for autonomous flight (Link to firmware added)

Hi all, Here are the params parameter 20170501 Hexa auto Good landing slow but good.param.zip and the firmware https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7tPlrvOUY3xb3ktM1gyRG1mTEk/view?usp=sharing that we used at the Interpack. We drew a lot of attention: Albatros - Lot of attention.JPG https://youtu.be/M8X...

Re: Pixhawk - Marvelmind

@freaad Yaw is floating indeed. But with good calibration of accels it should be less than a degree in a few minutes. When the yaw is too big I reboot the pixhawk. My flying path is within a few minutes. Letting the pixhawk rest for a few minutes before reading yaw and modifying declination seems to...

Re: Pixhawk - Marvelmind

@freaad Did you create a new firmware with the changes? Did you use the following button Screen Shot 2017-04-26 at 16.35.29.png to align your map with N on the map. You mustn't rotate the map manually. The button should do the work. (press button, choose left bottom beacon, right bottom beacon, left...

Re: Pixhawk - Marvelmind

1 result of today:

The results are very good. Except for height steadiness.

We are building new drones and will finetune with them.

Re: Pixhawk - Marvelmind

Hi Amolad, freaad, I did overrule the compass by using the predicted value, which keeps everything else intact: in AP_NavEKF3_MagFusion.cpp: with declination pointing north can be synchronised with pointing north of marvelmind map twice: // set the yaw to zero and calculate the zero yaw rotation fro...

Re: Pixhawk - Marvelmind

Thanx. I don't know what you exactly mean with maximum range. (Larger distance? We did not try large distances yet.) We have to fly in a very small environment (corridors of 2 meters on a area of 5 by 6 meters with a 1 meter hexacopter). And the setting has glass panels which reflects ultrasound and...

Re: Pixhawk - Marvelmind

I would like to test it, but we are on a path with pixhawk-marvelmind using fake GPS. I had to make modifications to firmware to eliminate magnetic compass. The area we fly in has to much metal which gives a lot of compass error. Today we had success: 20170414 path drone.jpg https://youtu.be/lNjHjdB...

Re: Autonomous flight MarvelMind Pixhawk 3 beacons

Yes, the map (created from 2 submaps) is positioned correctly. MarvelMindNorth is pointing up, but differs from real north. That is not a problem. When I reset the Pixhawk and the multicopter is pointing to MarvelMindNorth it sets itself right. When using magnetic compass I have to adjust declinatio...

Re: Pixhawk - Marvelmind

Hi Amolad,

Very interesting.

I am (via EKF3) still struggling with compass data.
I will try to compile to firmware for Hexacopter.

Which parameters are there to get Marvelmind working?
