Re: Beacons not found by Hedgehog

Hello, Do you power up only beacons but not powerup the modem? Modem is required for tracking. If beacons don't see modem more than 1 minute. they enter sleep and start 'weak blink' 1 time per 10 sec. You need build and freeze map for tracking. After that map is automatically saved in modem. If you ...

Re: Different Frequency in Modem

Hello, It looks like you have uploaded 919 MHz version of software into modem instead 433 MHz version. We provide two versions of software - for 919 MHz and 433 MHz hardware. The only difference between these software versions is what radio band selected after 'default' button pressing. So you can m...

Re: How to use IMU and ultrasonic for precise navigation

Hello, Yes, it seems now mobile beacon returns 0 in the addess field instead its address. We will fix this in next software update. But this is not so meaningful for mobile beacon, because it returns only its own IMU data. This address field was introduced to separate different mobile beacons with e...

Re: Reading serial number etc. via API

Hello, Reading of CPU ID is already implemented in API. The example coming with API prints CPU ID of all detected devices (see attached screenshot). The function in the example which reads ID is: bool mmGetVersionAndId(uint8_t address, MarvelmindDeviceVersion *mmDevVersion); CPU ID returned by this ...

Re: Raw distance measurement from hedgehog

Hello,

Yes, as Jason_L noticed, you should enable 'Raw distances data' in 'Interfaces' section of hedgehog settings in dashboard.

Also, please check your map build.
According to your screenshot, beacons 1 and 3 are in same position X=0 Y=0 Z=0.
Such map cannot work correctly.

Re: Export position of Hedgehog

Hello, When the map is frozen, dashboard permanently saves updated locations of mobile beacons into the log file. You can control this process via window opened from menu 'File/Hedgehog logging'. Pause and continue logging can be executed by switching between 'auto' and 'none'. 'Manual' allows manua...

Re: Installing Marvelmind ROS package - Error: package 'marvelmind_nav' not found

Hello Elmik, Thank you very much for the feedback. I just checked and found that building of the package from source was skipped in the manual. Your solution is correct. The corrected manual is here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1jb129LtAkH8QSSM6dyBKxXRvPBFuypaW We will publish the updated versi...

Re: Calculation of Hedge Axis Rotation by Quaternion _Starter Set HW v4.9-IMU

Hello, Angle by paired beacons feature provides absolute yaw angle in XY coordinates system of the map: - If both beacons are along X axis and the direction of the pair is along Y axis, the angle is 0 degrees - If both beacons are along Y axis and the direction of the pair is opposite to X axis, the...

Re: How to use IMU and ultrasonic for precise navigation

Hello, Yes, you can modify the Python example for parsing address of the beacon as you have shown. Current version of our example doesn't include this. I thing the parsing string should be: x, y, z, qw, qx, qy, qz, vx, vy, vz, ax, ay, az, HedgeAdr, timestamp, usnCRC16 = struct.unpack_from ('<lllhhhh...

Re: Reading Coordinates in Java

Sorry, now I understood that your code is Java port of the C example interface to API library dashapi.dll In this case 'ofs+=18' and offset 2 for coordinates are correct. Maybe the error is caused by incorrect transformation of negative Y value ( -6000 mm). Try remove (' &0xFFFF ') from coordina...
