Re: Code for interfacing Arduino with a hedgehog (using UART)

Hello, We didn't tested Arduino-based robots in Marvelmind. But we have tested all provided Arduino examples of communication with our devices. Many of our customers are building robots based on Arduino and get data from mobile beacons, please read for example this topic: https://marvelmind.com/foru...

Re: how to get x,y coordinates of hedge on the serial port of arduino?

Hello jyS2019, According to your screenshot from dashboard, the map is not successfully built. So mobile beacon is not tracking and it doesn't send its location in this case. Please achieve tracking in dashboard - build and freeze the map and ensure the mobile beacon is updating its position. Then y...

Re: Uploading new Firmware to HW4.9 Starter Set fails

Hello, Thank you for the information about the issue and workaround. Yes, current Linux version of dashboard (v6.08) can fail updating firmware from some older versions. We will fix this issue in next software update. Before this, please use Windows version of dashboard for updating software if Linu...

Re: IMU Data shows that the beacon it's rotating

Hello, It seems your situation is caused by gyroscope drift. Gyroscope can report some small none-zero angular speed by one or all 3 axes X, Y, Z even if the beacon is not rotating. This drift should be eliminated in software. To eliminate it inside mobile beacon, select mobile beacon in dashboard a...

Re: Output Display Alternative

Hello Arduino should print on LCD the waypoints as shown on attached photo. One point after another with interval ~1 sec. On the photo is waypoint X=2.77 m, Y= 1.01 m. Yes, you can send any data and view via serial port monitor. Here is topic with discussion about serial port monitor and examples of...

Re: Can't Retrieve Raw Distances

Hello,

In current version of software each mobile beacon streams only distances from itself to stationary beacons, but not streams distances from other mobile beacons to stationary ones.
You can get distances from all mobile beacons to stationary from modem.

Re: How to connect more than 5 beacons

Hello, Starting from software version 6.01, each submap can include maximum 4 beacons. 4 beacons are enough to provide navigation in area up to 1000 m2 without obstacles. If you need navigation in more large area or in area with obstacles (for example, multiple separate rooms), you should split the ...

Re: how to get x,y coordinates of hedge on the serial port of arduino?

Hello, It seems this problem is related to Arduino programmer, not to the Marvelmind software. Please try to read this 7-years discussion of the trouble: https://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=135451.0 As I understand, most popular solutions are: 1. Check if the Arduino serial port selection is co...

Re: Error IMU Compass Data

Hello,

It looks like external magnetic field - high current electrical cirquits or large metal thing near beacon.
Try to check same far from any metal and electric.
Such troubles with compass are very frequent, so we don't recommend to use it in robots.

Re: Stationary Beacon Locations

Hello, Yes, you can get location of stationary beacons via USB or UART from modem or any mobile beacon. See section 1.2 of the protocol: https://marvelmind.com/pics/marvelmind_beacon_interfaces.pdf This protocol is implemented in following C example: http://www.marvelmind.com/pics/2018_03_15_C_examp...
